bad dreams bad dreams go away…

I woke up today receiving the most tragic news I have ever heard.  I still haven’t recovered from the New Zealand quake last month since my batch mate is still missing which makes us worry for her family and closed friends.  I was teary eyed when I saw the news this morning while eating my late breakfast and lunch.  Plus a friend of mine through twitter is currently in Japan which worries me a lot, especially knowing that she was one of the victims and felt that aftershocks and etc.  Today was just a very exhausting day, full of bad reports over the news.  I was getting paranoid because of the Tsunami warnings around the world especially in the Philippines, thank GOD the warnings has been lifted earlier. I still cannot believe what happened to Japan, which reminds us that we are just mere guests in this place called earth.  Anytime mother nature can take it away from us if we do not preserve the environment.  We must do the change now before it is too late. All my prayers goes to the people of Japan. I hope they can pick up the pieces and move on little by little and I wish that there will be no more calamities for the upcoming months.  Let us continue to pray for everyones safety.

For a lighter note, as my day continues to progress I received one of the most shocking news from my best friend, it was unexpected but I am jumping for joy and so happy for her.  I am not going to jinx it, I will wait until the final thing pushes through but a little clue, I will be seeing the bright sunny skies of Cebu very soon. So to ease all the pain here are my current wants, things that I have been dreaming off because of so many reasons, they are not available in Bangkok and damn this PMS hahahaha!

Missing my favorite barbeque from Larsians,  if I am still up at 2am or if I am from a party.  Usually my friends and I will stop over the best barbeque place in Cebu.  Since they usually closes at around 5 or 6 in the morning.  And trust me they have the best barbeque ever,  just don’t mind the place and enjoy the FOOD.  Oh that diamond thing is what we call “puso” or hanging rice.  It has rice inside it but it was steamed inside that coconut leaf which makes it taste ooh soo GOOD.

If you love chinese food then this might be familiar, I love our very own siomai sa tisa.  One of my favorite street foods and yes darling their sauce is what makes this tiny piece so delicious. They have siomai here in Thailand but not as yummy as we have in Cebu.

This is what we call the glutinous rice in the Philippines or simply “biko” it is cooked in sticky rice with coconut milk and brown sugar.  Trust me my aunt makes the best glutinous rice in town.  And since lent is coming I am simply missing the taste of this one.

and finally I saved the best for last…my all time favorite, our very own roasted pig or in the Philippines  we call it the famous LECHON in Cebu .  We have the best lechon in the Philippines and nothing can ever top the best roasted pig in town.

Ahh all this food makes me crave for more, damn PMS I am really missing the best food in Cebu.  How about you, what are your best delicacies that is only made in your country or town?

GOOD VIBES guys..let us not forget to pray.

Happy Friday everyone lift up your faith in God.

I was also very worried bitch coz I have 3 friends in Japan. Good thing the other one said via fb that though they are affected by the earthquake, they’re not affected by the tsunami, however, the other 2 friends I have can’t be reach and they’re not even saying any updates via fb. Just a few minutes ago the other one made a status that she’s having difficulties connecting to the net due to power outage in the area but she’s safe daw. The other one, we still don’t know what happened to her. I hope she’s ok.
